A Decade of Action. A New Chapter of Impact.

November–December 2026 | What we're building together. A first look at our ten-year milestones, upcoming research releases, and pathways for our volunteers.

• Letter to the Community

As we approach the final months of 2026, something significant is taking shape at AWARE India Trust. Two of our missions — SaveTheSmiles and NoMoreNirbhaya — complete ten years.

Dear AWARE Family

Alongside these milestones, we are preparing to release research findings, introduce safeguarding frameworks, recognise changemakers and bring together voices committed to child protection, gender justice, positive masculinity and safer institutions.

Some milestones deserve more than a celebration. They deserve reflection, renewed commitment and a roadmap for what comes next.

Behind every initiative are years of conversations, field experiences, difficult questions, lessons learnt and people who believed that change was possible. And that includes you — our volunteers.

Better Men. Safer Communities.

Engaging Boys and Men as Partners in Change. Special programme commemorating International Men's Day. Conversations about gender justice are incomplete without examining how boys and men experience, learn and express masculinity.

This year, we are bringing evidence and recognition together to encourage a constructive conversation across educational spaces and communities.

Every Girl Deserves a Future She Chooses.

27 November 2026 | Friday — International Day for the Elimination of Child, Early and Forced Marriage

Child marriage is not only about the age at which a girl marries. It is also about education, autonomy, safety, opportunity, social expectations and the systems that shape her choices.

We are preparing a statewide conversation to bring evidence, lived experiences and collective responsibility into focus.

10 Years of NoMoreNirbhaya Mission

16 December 2026 | Wednesday — 2016–2026 | A Decade of Creating Safer Spaces for Adults

• WHAT'S TAKING SHAPE?

A Decade of Learning

Safety is not simply the absence of violence. It is the presence of dignity, respect, equality, accessible support and accountable institutions.

NoMoreNirbhaya Foundation Principle

A critical retrospective analyzing decade-long field interventions, community safety audits, and systemic reforms built alongside frontline partners.

As NoMoreNirbhaya completes ten years, we are preparing to revisit the conversations, interventions and institutional partnerships that have shaped our work across communities nationwide.

FOUR MILESTONES. ONE SHARED PURPOSE.

These gatherings may address different issues, but they are connected by one belief:

Our next chapter is about turning years of experience into stronger frameworks, practical recommendations, meaningful partnerships and measurable change.

Safe spaces are not created through awareness alone. They are built through evidence, education, accountability, participation and sustained collective action.

And we want our volunteers to help shape it.

WHAT WE'RE WORKING ON

Over the coming weeks, our preparations will focus on:

Research & Evidence

Partnerships & Outreach

Campaigns & Communications

Synthesizing a decade of ground data and child protection insights into structured policy briefs and institutional accountability metrics.

Connecting with academic spaces, grassroots collectives, and civic authorities to build resilient, long-term stakeholder networks.

Developing accessible educational toolkits and public storytelling resources to challenge silence and shift community mindsets.

Events & Volunteer Mobilization

From Evidence to Action

Designing regional facilitator workshops, community listening circles, and structured on-ground onboarding pathways for new volunteers.

Channeling verified field learnings into practical intervention toolkits that empower local teams to create sustained safety mechanisms.

We will share specific responsibilities, timelines and participation opportunities as the programmes take shape.
